Amela Behmen Voloder, Bosnia

Amela is a teacher of the English Language in “Prva Osnovna škola - The First Elementary School, Ilidža”. From 1993 to 2000  she was working as an interpreter, and assistant for the European Community Monitoring Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 2000 to 2004 she worked as a regional team assistant for Care International - Sarajevo,  on EU-QIF project - support for small and medium enterprises, in Mostar and Sarajevo. During and after the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina she was interpreter at the numerous seminars on reconciliation in BiH. She has also participated at many Summer Friendship Camps for children, and workshops for teachers, organised by TWI-Training Workshops International for children, USA. She is actively involving her students into the global way of thinking, to create global awareness, through SDG projects. She enjoys connecting with the students and educators across the world, and  feels responsible to motivate children in making positive change in our world, by creating critical way of thinking and acting, in order to help planet Earth, in different aspects. She translated: “Forgotten beauty” Guide for hikers to mountains above 2000 in BiH, published by Buybook and "Religious approach to reconciliation in Bosnia and Herzegovina", authors Heinz Gerhard Justenhoven, Paul Mojzes, Vjekoslav Saje, 2004, published by MAG Plus Sarajevo.

Samantha Oliveira, Brazil

Samantha is an English teacher passionate about her job. She has been teaching for 17 years. She is an MIE Expert and has 3 lessons on Microsoft Educators Community. She also created a group on Facebook for teachers of Portuguese speaking countries to connect students and collaborate. She took the pledge on TEACHSDGs website to spread the word about the Sustainable Development Goals, in order to make the world a better place. She really believes in the power of Global Conbections for a better learning ! 

Hanan Ibrahim, Egypt

Hanan is an English teacher at El kafrawy official language school in Damietta, Egypt, and a proud Microsoft certified educator and trainer. She proposed for a Masters degree. She believes in teaching with technology. Coding is the best way in learning so she traines her colleagues and students to play Minecraft as a way to solve problems. She applies learning through  projects methodology and teaching using virtal reality #VR #AR because she believes it will help students to be innovate and collaborative. She is interested in music, reading and sports.

Soheir Zaki Abdel-Fattah, Egypt

Soheir is an expert science teacher in Victory College, Alexandria, Egypt since 1995. She graduated from Alexandria University, Faculty of Science and has her MSc. in physical organic chemistry. She participated in many Global educational projects such as "Human Differences", "Climate Action", "The World We Want" and "Way2Peace" that aimed to achieve Global Goals by increasing the awareness of the goals by the students. She has earned certificates of attendance from National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education in self-evaluation, Quality Education for pre-university institutions, evaluation of learning outcomes, skills and good practices of external review for pre-university institution courses. She worked to achieve excellence in education using advanced technologies in the classroom to provide students with better education by embedding Microsoft applications in teaching.  @sou_2022

Elín Stefansdóttir, Iceland

Elín is a primary teacher in Iceland, with a B.ed (Bachelor of Education). She has been teaching for 30 years. She is also an eTwinning ambassador and has been awarded many times for her projects. She cares for the nature and likes to run and walk, and listen to the nature. She practices 'plogging' (picking up plastic while running). She and her students have participated in the Litter@sea eTwinning project, in collaboration with other European teachers.

Anamika Jha, India

Anamika is a passionate educator from New Delhi, India. She teaches science to high school and secondary school students for the last 13 years. As a science facilitator, she tries to involve her students in scientific based learning projects in conducive environment. Being a MIEE expert helped her to explore sphere of knowledge. She enjoys connecting with the students and educators across the world. Being a science teacher, she feels more responsible to motivate students to help mother earth so that this beautiful world will remain in its natural pristine state and our future generations can also breathe fresh air, drink clean water and feel the happiness on this earth. As a part of Eco-Club of her school, she is involved in a project called "Yuvakriti". This project deals with collecting, segregating the waste, recycling, making beautiful articles from the waste, preparing manure and growing air purifying plants. Students are trained for entrepreneurship skills with means of various activities. Her students are also creating beautiful articles using waste plastics.

Nalini Srivastava, India

Nalini is a teacher from DPS Shaheedpath LUCKNOW, India. She teaches  English and History to class 10 and 12. She is a MIEE, Microsoft Expert Speaker and Trainer. She loves to work for causes that are relevant for the society, society being the global world. She has done lots of work for spreading Autism Awareness and since  the past year she has  been working for motivating students and younger generation towards their contribution for achieving the 2030 SDGs. She is part of the prestigious Kakuma Project and part of many other collaborating projects like End Plastic Brigade, Lets End Poverty, etc. She is a published author of short stories as well as a poet. She finds both these  means excellent ways for involving people.

Narayan Chandrakant Mangalaram, India

Narayan is a primary school teacher. He is working in the rural area of Maharashtra state, India having 16 years of teaching experience. He is teaching English & social studies to grade 3 & 4. He is a passionate, enthusiastic and optimistic teacher who thinks that smart use of technology in school education is best policy for the bright future of the young learner. He is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert 2019-2020 & Certified Flipgrid educator level 2. He uses all the ICT tools to give opportunity to his young learners to explore the world. With Skype in Classroom he wants to give his learners more and more exposure so they can see, experience and learn a lot of new things.
He is a National Level Master Trainer For Art Integrated Learning (AIL), a program of NCERT, New Delhi, India and Member of Text Book Bureau for English at Balbharti, Pune, Maharashtra, India. He is working as General Secretary of 'NISHANK, Maharashtra' (an NGO) working for Art, Education and Culture in Maharashtra who had adopted 'Waste management' as a theme for year 2018-2019 (Through this NGO Narayan and his students conducted an awareness program amongst the pilgrimage to avoid using plastic with the help of Street Plays, Banner etc.). Narayan is co-coordinator of 'Active Teachers Maharashtra' (ATM), an active teacher’s forum working in Maharashtra, India having more than 5000 active members from around the Maharashtra. His school Z P P School Gopalwadi is selected as a Model school (Only Eleven School's from All over the India) practicing 'Art Integrated Learning' (AIL) by NCERT, New Delhi. Also his School successfully participated in an International project 'Voice of the Future' with 40 schools from 25 countries on wildlife conservation. His school is the only School club registered under 'CUCI' UNESCO school club from Rahuri Block, Maharashtra, India.

Olusegun Michael Adeniyi, Nigeria

Olusegun is an Art teacher - cum-green champion and #TeachSDGs Ambassador. He is passionate about SDG 4, most especially integration of quality art education in teaching and learning. He lives in Lagos, Nigeria.

Raiza Figueroa Rodríguez, Puerto Rico

Raiza is a passionate and creative person that has an open-minded perspective towards teaching and learning, who has enjoyed, and continues to enjoy, every second of her 11 years of experience as an educator in Puerto Rico. Throughout her years of experience she has been given the chance to guide the learning process of children from preschool to elementary school in different learning environments (public and private schools).  She began connecting with teachers from all over the world, becoming an MIE and winning second place in the Microsoft Innovator Forum for Teachers of 2016 in Puerto Rico. Currently she is working as a 4th grade teacher (9-10 years old) in a private school in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Her learning approach goes hand in hand with creating and developing a sense of family inside the classroom and promoting the development of the emotional intelligence of her students. In Raiza’s classroom, students learn to love, even more, our planet and ways in which we can contribute to create awareness of the importance of its protection. As a year in her classroom goes by, students learn that they need to become the change, the positive change, our society, country, world needs. They learn and apply how we will make a difference in the world and how our actions will become a boomerang of reactions that are a reflection of how we show respect and responsibility for our home, Earth. Raiza believes our world needs risk-takers to connect and create awareness about the importance of protecting and being proactive towards our home planet.

Lori Wu, Taiwan

Lori is a teacher from Taiwan for 15 years. She teaches English and Science in an elementary school. She believes it is important to give kids every opportunity possible and let them choose what they need and what they are passionate about. She helps students love learning by giving them more choices  in their own learning. She loves to use technology as a tool of communication and problem solving. It's a great way to collaborate, innovate and make connections. Lori brings brings passion, energy, enthusiasm and fun to her classes. Make learning an adventure. Learning should be fun.

Pimnamphueng  Wannasam, Thailand

Pimnamphueng  Wannasam is a teacher from Mabammaritwittaya school, Don yang, Patue, Chumphon, Thailand. She teaches Chemistry, Technology gardening to 13-18 years old students. She loves to teach about Nature and Environment. She and her students work together to preserve the environment by using plastic waste, foam, polymer waste from the sea and the community to make brick paving for the walkway. Pim believes that building careers for students and communities is another way to reduce plastic waste. She love to share experiences and ideas with other educators around the world.

Elif Özsoy, Turkey

Elif is a Science teacher in Samsun, a coastal city near the Black Sea, in Turkey. She has been teaching for 13 years. She and her students have carried out many projects about the environment, the universe, science, among others.  She was a member of the eTwinning project "BLASTIC" in 2015-2016.

Nam Ngo Thanh, Vietnam

Nam is now a manager of technology academy department in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He has authored multiple articles, and has been nationally and internationally recognized for the implementation of creativity and the integration of technology into his teaching. He is the founder of many global projects: Five Safe Fingers, Kindness Everyday, Stem, SGDs in actions. In 2015, he was presented with the Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert Award, and in the same year he represented Vietnam at the Microsoft Global Forum. He is a Microsoft Master Trainer, Skype Master Teacher, and Microsoft Learning Consultant. He works passionately to develop creative approaches to delivering quality education to his students in ways that inspire them to learn. He was one of the top 50 Global Teacher Prize Finalists and he is also the winner of Asia Educator of the year 2017, 2018 Global Innovation Collaboration Award and Digital Citizenship Champion.
